E-SRA (Negros and Panay)

E-SRA (Visayas) E-SRA is a collection of programs, applets and protocols aimed to collate data into a singular database where the whole sugar industry can draw information from.

Developed for the Negros and Panay operations of the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA), this information and communcations technology solution utilizes both wired and wireless technology to link up all players in the sugar industry. A local intranet was also activated to allow different offices within the SRA Bacolod compound access to information. All computers in the premises are on the network and enjoy internet access as well. Field offices, mills and other individuals can access SRA through dial-up or via the internet.

By providing real-time information, stake holders of the sugar industry will be more aware of what is going on. Once fully implemented, E-SRA will greatly enhance the capabilities of the Sugar Regulation and Enforcement Department (SRED) to monitor sugar production and movement.
